Job Description:
Provide synchronous and asynchronous teaching instruction to Grade K - 5 students in a remote learning environment.
Prepare lessons and assignments.
Evaluate student performance and administer examinations.
Communicate with parents/teaching coaches regarding student progress.
Collaborate with other teachers to ensure a cohesive learning experience for the students.
Contribute to curriculum development and refinement.
Record student absences and report progress to administration on a weekly basis.
Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing.
Duties:
Significant contribution to the organization and content of our Mathematics curriculum
Staying up to date with the latest state standards and ensuring our Mathematics curriculum exceeds state standards for all states in which we have enrolled students.
Mentoring junior teachers and teaching assistants in delivery of math instruction.
Provide synchronous and asynchronous teaching instruction for math.
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Education or related field required.
Advanced degree (M.S. or PhD) in Education preferred.
8+ years experience teaching math in a classroom environment required
12+ years experience teaching math in a classroom environment preferred
Prior experience leading junior teachers or curriculum development preferred
Prior experience with a STEM based curriculum preferred
Teacher certification preferred
